Etihad Airways announced that it transported 5 million passengers during the first quarter of 2025, according to preliminary passenger traffic results for March. In March alone, the airline carried 1.6 million passengers—an increase of 14% compared to the same month last year.
The airline achieved an average seat load factor of 87% in Q1, up from 86% during the same period in 2024, supported by enhanced capacity and a 10% increase in fleet size.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, confirmed that the airline witnessed strong growth over the past 12 months, welcoming around 20 million passengers by the end of March 2025. He added that last month alone saw the announcement of two new destinations and an increase in flight frequencies to others, bringing the total number of destinations planned for 2025 to 16.
