Abu Dhabi Securities Exchang, Budapest Stock Exchange Sign Strategic MoU

    July 23, 2025Updated:July 23, 20252 Mins Read

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE), the second-largest bourse in Central and Eastern Europe, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on key initiatives. The signing took place during the official visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Hungary.

The agreement, signed in the presence of UAE Ambassador to Hungary Saud Hamad Al Shamsi, aims to strengthen capital market ties and promote the exchange of best practices between the two countries.

This partnership marks a significant step in BSE’s efforts to expand its global reach, especially in the Middle East, while supporting ADX’s ongoing strategy to deepen ties with leading international financial institutions.

The MoU outlines plans for joint investor roadshows, educational programs, and the development of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to offer diversified investment tools in both markets.

Both exchanges will explore dual listings and cross-border trading, and aim to cooperate on ESG practices, market development, regulatory insights, product innovation, and IT capacity building.

Additionally, the parties will assess BSE’s potential integration into “Tabadul,” ADX’s digital platform, launched in 2022, which enables remote access and cross-market trading.

Commenting on the agreement, ADX CEO Abdulla Salem Al Nuaimi said the partnership lays a strong foundation for global integration and financial innovation. He highlighted joint efforts to develop ETFs and investment indices, and underscored ADX’s role as a dynamic global financial hub.

BSE CEO Tibor Tóth welcomed the collaboration, noting it enhances bilateral market relations and presents exciting investment opportunities for both Hungarian and Emirati investors. He described “Tabadul” as a unique and promising platform.
