Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced the official opening of its new office in Beijing, a strategic move aimed at strengthening long-term commercial ties with clients and partners in the People’s Republic of China.
The announcement coincided with an official visit by His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, to China. During the visit, ADNOC signed three agreements for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG), including the largest-ever LNG deal between the UAE and China by volume, further cementing ADNOC’s position as a responsible and reliable global energy provider.
H.E. Dr. Al Jaber emphasized that the opening of the Beijing office aligns with the UAE’s leadership vision to deepen international cooperation and reflects ADNOC’s commitment to building high-impact partnerships that foster economic growth. He noted that the new office, along with the recently signed agreements, will enhance collaboration with Chinese partners across the entire energy value chain.
The new office will focus on ADNOC’s sales and marketing activities in China and was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials and business leaders, including representatives from key Chinese partners such as China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China ZhenHua Oil, and Wanhua Chemical Group.
Among the new agreements is a 15-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with ENN LNG (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of ENN Natural Gas Co. Ltd.—one of China’s largest private energy companies. The agreement includes the supply of up to one million tons per annum of low-carbon LNG from the Ruwais LNG project.
ADNOC also announced two additional agreements with China’s CNOOC Gas & Power Group and China ZhenHua Oil, covering LNG supply contracts.
China is currently one of ADNOC’s largest product importers, and as its economy—the world’s second-largest—continues to grow, energy demand is expected to increase. ADNOC remains committed to being a long-term, trusted global energy partner, driving sustainable economic growth through strategic partnerships and value-driven commercial relationships.
