Abu Dhabi, April 11 – Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) recorded a strong performance in the first quarter of 2025, driven by a notable rise in liquidity and increased activity from both foreign and institutional investors.
Foreign investor trading surged by 62% to AED 69.8 billion, while net foreign investment jumped 151% to AED 8.5 billion, raising their contribution to total trading to 42%. The market capitalization also grew by 3.2%, reaching AED 2.93 trillion.
Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) saw an exceptional growth of 109%, while total liquidity rose 21%, and trading volume increased by 39%. Executed trades rose 41% to 1.35 million transactions.
Institutional investors also increased their trading activity by 22%, surpassing AED 134.9 billion, reinforcing ADX’s position as an attractive destination for long-term investments.
