He noted that Samsung recorded double-digit growth in sales of its premium smartphones in the UAE in 2024 compared to 2023, driven by strong demand for the Galaxy S25 series powered by artificial intelligence.
He highlighted that pre-orders for the new series rose by 20% compared to the S24, reflecting growing consumer trust and Dubai’s status as a launchpad for cutting-edge innovations. According to Abu Shamat, Dubai’s digitally savvy consumers and its advanced digital infrastructure make it an ideal destination for global tech firms.
Samsung’s long-standing partnership with Google exemplifies the company’s focus on delivering seamless, connected user experiences. The Galaxy S25 series is designed to optimize app management, power efficiency, and provide AI-powered features that adapt to user behavior—all in line with the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031.
Abu Shamat emphasized that Dubai plays a central role in supporting the smartphone industry across the region by hosting major tech events and fostering strategic collaborations with the UAE government.
