ADIB Launches First Digital Platform for Fractional Sukuk Investments Starting from $1,000

    July 10, 20252 Mins Read

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has officially launched its new Fractional Sukuk Platform, an innovative digital investment solution that allows customers to buy and trade Sharia-compliant sukuk starting from just $1,000, directly through the bank’s mobile app.

This marks a global milestone, positioning ADIB as the first bank worldwide to offer fractional sukuk investment to individual investors. The platform dramatically lowers the traditional entry threshold of $200,000 and opens access to fixed-income Islamic instruments that were previously reserved for institutions and high-net-worth individuals.

The platform offers a fully digital investment experience, including investor registration, strategy evaluation, access to suitable sukuk options, fractional ownership, flexible trading, and earnings based on the performance of underlying assets.

This initiative aligns with ADIB’s Vision 2035, which emphasizes digital transformation and innovation in banking solutions. The goal is to empower customers by providing safe, transparent, and flexible investment opportunities tailored to modern needs.

Group CEO Mohamed Abdelbary highlighted the launch as a turning point in Islamic investment, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a global hub for Islamic finance. He noted that the move reflects the bank’s commitment to financial inclusion and product innovation.

Amit Malhotra, Global Head of Retail Banking, added that the platform was developed in response to growing demand from individual investors seeking accessible and transparent financial products. The initiative is expected to broaden participation in sukuk markets by enabling more people to invest with ease and confidence.
