Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Cabinet approved the launch of the world’s first fully integrated smart legislative system, powered by artificial intelligence. The system is set to revolutionize the speed and accuracy of lawmaking, enhancing national competitiveness and enabling real-time impact assessment through advanced data analytics, global research platforms, and AI tools.
The Cabinet also approved the restructuring of the UAE Balanced Development Council, chaired by Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed, to drive impactful development projects across all emirates. Additionally, it reviewed the targets of the “Make it in the Emirates” Forum 2025, which aims to attract AED 20 billion in new industrial investments and boost the sector’s contribution to the national GDP.
The Cabinet endorsed the launch of the Global Energy Efficiency Alliance, aligned with COP28 outcomes, to double energy efficiency by 2030 and support international sustainability efforts. It also reviewed the results of the “Plant the UAE” program, which planted over 459,000 trees and engaged thousands of volunteers nationwide.
In fiscal policy, the Cabinet highlighted progress in the national tax ecosystem, with over 520,000 registered companies and numerous measures supporting SMEs, such as tax exemptions and streamlined procedures, while strengthening global cooperation to combat tax evasion.
The Cabinet also ratified 44 international agreements and authorized negotiations for 30 more, covering investment, economic cooperation, and cultural partnerships; reinforcing the UAE’s global openness and its strategy to build a resilient, future-ready economy.
