Egypt launches “Air Taxi Egypt” project with EGP 5 billion investment

    October 12, 20252 Mins Read

Egypt witnessed the official launch of the “Air Taxi Egypt” project, the first-of-its-kind aerial transportation service in Egypt, during a ceremony held in front of the Pyramids of Giza, attended by ministers, senior officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and media representatives.

The project is the result of a strategic partnership between Abu Dhabi Aviation, one of the leading helicopter operators in the Middle East with over 49 years of experience, and TCM Economic Consultancy, the advisory arm of Prime Egypt Group, aimed at developing advanced air mobility solutions and promoting smart transport services in Egypt.

With total investments estimated at EGP 5 billion, the project’s first operational phase will be launched from Almaza Airport in Cairo, covering destinations such as the New Administrative Capital, North Coast, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, and Luxor, through a fleet of modern helicopters operated to the highest international safety and quality standards.

His Excellency Hamid Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, affirmed that the project reflects the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries and represents a model of joint cooperation in the fields of development and modernization.

For his part, Makhmoud Al Hammali, CEO of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group, stated that the launch of the “Air Taxi Egypt” project marks a qualitative step towards advancing smart air mobility in the region, while Eng. Tamer Wagih, Chairman of Prime Egypt Group, noted that the initiative supports Egypt’s vision for sustainable and luxury tourism solutions.

“Air Taxi Egypt” will offer premium services in two categories – Comfort Class and VIP Class – targeting tourists, official delegations, and business travellers, through short scenic flights and customized executive services, contributing to the growth of tourism and investment in Egypt.
