His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, announced that investments in artificial intelligence in Dubai reached approximately AED 20.6 billion in 2024, reflecting the emirate’s growing position as a global hub for future technologies.
The announcement came during his opening remarks at the AI Retreat, held as part of Dubai’s Artificial Intelligence Week, under the theme: “How the Coming Years Will Reshape Nations’ Capabilities.”
Al Olama emphasized that Dubai’s annual plan to accelerate AI adoption focused on appointing 230 Chief AI Officers across various entities, establishing dedicated AI teams, and launching six advanced business incubators. Additionally, around 10,000 students benefited from AI empowerment and upskilling programs.
