UAE’s EDGE Group and Hungary’s 4iG have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on the development of autonomous aerial systems and space surveillance technologies. The signing ceremony took place at 4iG’s headquarters in Budapest in the presence of H.E. Saood Hamad Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Hungary.
The agreement paves the way for the joint exploration of research and development opportunities in key areas such as unmanned aerial systems, counter-drone technologies, and advanced space operations.
Officials from both sides emphasized that the partnership demonstrates their shared commitment to advancing cutting-edge defense solutions, particularly in light of evolving global security challenges. Earlier in January, EDGE signed a Letter of Intent with Hungary’s Ministry of Defence to supply CARACAL sniper rifles, marking the company’s first defense collaboration with a NATO member state.
