In a new episode of the “Money Secrets” podcast, economic content creator Ahmed Elgamal hosted Ayman Al-Attar, a government transactions expert, who provided a comprehensive overview of how to establish a business and obtain the Golden Visa in the United Arab Emirates.
The episode highlighted the ease of setting up a company in the UAE, where a commercial license can now be issued in under five minutes through digital platforms like “Invest in Dubai,” without the need for proof of capital or physical presence in the country. Opening a business bank account can also be done within a single business day, thanks to the streamlined services of digital banks.
Al-Attar explained the differences between Free Zones and the Mainland, noting that most business activities are now open to 100% foreign ownership, eliminating the requirement for a local service agent in most cases—especially following reforms introduced in 2021.
He also broke down the different types of residency visas, especially the Golden Visa, which is valid for 10 years, renewable, and available to seven categories including investors, property owners, scientists, and creatives. He emphasized that the Golden Visa can even be obtained from abroad by submitting an online nomination, followed by completing the process inside the UAE.
The episode concluded with a call to aspiring entrepreneurs across the Arab world to seize the vast opportunities available in the UAE, which has become one of the most supportive and dynamic environments for investors and creators of success.
