During his first official visit to the United Arab Emirates, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright emphasized the deep-rooted energy partnership between the two nations and the importance of continued cooperation to ensure global energy security and market stability.

Secretary Wright met with several senior UAE officials, including H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber and H.E. Suhail Al Mazrouei. Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in energy, artificial intelligence, and investment. The visit also included strategic site tours such as ADNOC, Barakah Nuclear Plant, and Al Dhafra Solar Project.

Key outcomes of the visit included strengthening bilateral coordination on traditional and renewable energy projects, exploring joint investments in AI-driven energy solutions and advanced manufacturing, and reaffirming the shared commitment to global energy security as a pillar of international economic stability. The United States also reiterated its support for the UAE’s peaceful nuclear energy initiatives under the existing bilateral nuclear cooperation agreement.

Additionally, the visit advanced strategic partnerships, including expanding collaboration between ADNOC and U.S.-based Occidental on gas projects and enhancing the international investment role of UAE-based XRG in cooperation with American partners.

The visit served as a strong boost to economic and investment relations between the two countries and laid the groundwork for future partnerships in critical sectors.
