The UAE is increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Wi-Fi 7 technologies to attract high-value tourists and reshape luxury hospitality. A recent Forbes Middle East article highlights how these tools are transforming guest experiences, aligning with the country’s broader strategy to diversify its economy and position itself as a global tourism hub.
Contactless Services and Personalized Luxury
According to a joint Oracle-Skift report titled “Hospitality in 2025”, 73% of hotel guests prefer self-service options to minimize human interaction, while 96% of hoteliers are investing in such technologies. In the UAE, AI and IoT solutions are now common in premium hotels, entertainment parks, and wellness resorts.
In April 2025, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism introduced facial recognition check-in at five-star hotels. This government-backed system enhances security using encrypted biometric data that complies with UAE cybersecurity laws.
Smart Rooms and Sleep Technology
Dubai’s Jumeirah Group has integrated AI and IoT to improve guest relaxation. In late 2024, Jumeirah Al Qasr launched the Sleep Concierge program using Hapbee’s patented digital wellness tech. The program digitally transmits compounds like melatonin to promote rest and focus, without ingestible substances.
Wi-Fi 7 for Smart Hospitality
In June 2025, RUCKUS Networks rolled out AI-powered Wi-Fi 7 solutions for UAE hotels. Their H670 device supports smart locks, IoT sensors, and AI dashboards, doubling data speeds and enhancing automation.
All these advancements operate within the UAE’s strict IoT policies, ensuring secure, personalized, and non-intrusive guest experiences.
