Dubai, April 10- Masdar, UAE-based renewable energy company, has completed its full acquisition of Greece’s Terna Energy, marking a key step in its international expansion. After acquiring a 70% stake in November 2023, Masdar purchased the remaining shares through a mandatory tender offer, valuing Terna at €3.2 billion.
Masdar aims to expand further in Europe, Asia, and the U.S., with plans to boost its renewable energy capacity from 51 to 100 gigawatts by 2030. CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting energy transition efforts in Greece and across Europe.
