In a special episode of the Money Secrets podcast, economic content creator Ahmed Elgamal hosted Dr. Nashwa Al Ruwaini, media pioneer and CEO of Pyramedia. She shared her experiences in media and freelancing, stressing that “success isn’t a finish line, but a series of missions and continuous steps.”
Throughout the conversation, Al Ruwaini highlighted the growing challenges young people face today. “With just a phone and a light, anyone can reach the world,” she said. “But impact matters more than reach.”
Despite her long career in top media institutions, she revealed that leaving a secure executive role to go freelance was not easy. Still, she called it “the best decision of my life.”
Al Ruwaini believes content creators now serve as the new media, carrying serious responsibility toward their audience. She urged young creators to avoid pleasing everyone and instead focus on a specific audience with meaningful content.
She also emphasized the importance of timing, effort, and smart tools in achieving success. “Success needs a weapon,” she said. “And a wise mind turns every opportunity into a jewel, until he wears a necklace of accomplishments the world can’t ignore.”
In closing, she encouraged youth to take ownership of their journey, stay committed, and leave a lasting mark.
